Ellie Bagshaw (pictured) from Buxton, Derbyshire is in her fourth year of her Bachelor of Music degree at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, studying tenor horn with Helen Varley and Ian Porthouse.

Ellie learnt to play in her local brass band, Burbage Band (Buxton) with the help and guidance of Steve Critchlow (the musical director of Burbage Band). She regularly returns to Burbage Band when she is home.

She has played for many championship bands around the Midlands and enjoys the challenges surrounding championship test pieces. She is also extremely passionate about arts management and has managed the Conservatoire Brass Band for two years as well as being the Orchestra manager this year for her final project.
