Life in Birmingham
Whether you're a casual fan or athlete-in-training, Birmingham hosts major national and international sporting events and also offers you plenty of opportunities to get involved.
The city has three leading football clubs – Aston Villa, Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion, while international cricket takes place at Edgbaston, the base for Warwickshire County Cricket Club.
Major sporting championships happen at Brabazon golf course at The Belfry, which has been a venue for the UK PGA headquarters and several Ryder Cups.
The Barclaycard Arena is the UK's top indoor sporting venue and has seen some great events including Davis Cup tennis, international athletics, badminton, table tennis, judo, basketball and wrestling. Several athletics world records have been broken at the arena.

Facilities
Alexander Stadium is 20 minutes from the city centre and has excellent athletics and gym training facilities.
Our other site, The Pavilion, provides 12 pitches for football and rugby, an all-weather pitch for six- a-side football and hockey, changing facilities and a fully licensed bar for celebrations.
One of the country's best indoor ski facilities, the Snowdome at Tamworth, offers another must-try activity and is only a 30-minute journey away from Birmingham.
Students' Union
The Students’ Union organises a wide variety of sporting activities and has plenty of teams and individual competitors involved with British Universities and Colleges Sports tournaments.
