In order to have your offer confirmed for all of our Built Environment undergraduate courses you must attend one of our taster days OR have a short informal phone discussion. We normally only make offers to applicants who have attended an Applicant Taster Day. If, based on your application, we want to make an offer, we will invite you to an Applicant Taster Day.
If you are unable to attend an Applicant Taster Day, we can offer the opportunity of a phone call with one of our course tutors so that they can get to know you and you can ask any questions you have. You can book an Applicant Taster Day or telephone call by logging in to the Applicant Portal.
Choosing a university course is a big decision and we want you to be sure you are making the best and best-informed choice for you.
At the Applicant Taster Day, you can:
- Get in-depth information about your chosen course
- Learn about the student experience here and the journey your course will take you on
- Explore our campus including the School's cutting-edge facilities and technology
- Talk in person to your future academic tutors
- Chat informally to our current students
- Find out about student finance, support services, accommodation and your application at our Information Hub**
** The Information Hub is available on certain Applicant Days, and may be of particular interest to parents and carers, allowing them to source specific information about Birmingham City University.
You can choose to visit us on a Wednesday afternoon or a Saturday morning or afternoon.
We aim to make these days as informative, interesting and relaxing as possible for you, and are happy for you to bring one parent or guest along too.
