Our Graduation Venue

All BCU graduation ceremonies take place at Symphony Hall,  part of the International Convention Centre (ICC) and operated by the charity B:Music.

Getting to the Venue

The Paradise Circus redevelopment is ongoing, which may cause travel disruption around Symphony Hall. To avoid delays, we recommend:

  • Planning ahead and checking for travel updates.
  • Using public transport, walking, or cycling instead of driving.
  • Allowing extra time for your journey.

Clean Air Zone: Birmingham City Council has introduced a Clean Air Zonerestricting free access for certain vehicles. Check your vehicle's eligibility at www.brumbreathes.co.uk

 
Travelling by Car

Birmingham is easily accessible from the M5, M6, M40 and M42. Follow signs to Birmingham City Centre, then look for tourist signs directing you to the International Convention Centre (ICC).

Please note, that Symphony Hall is not featured on road signage.

Nearby Car Parks:

  • Q-Park Brindleyplace
  • Paradise Circus multi-storey car park
  • Cambridge Street car parks
  • Pay and display car park underneath the Utilita Arena.

Disabled Parking: Available in Bay B, at the back of the ICC next to the Prince of Wales Pub.

Taxis: A taxi rank is located across the road from Symphony Hall outside the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

 
Travelling by Rail

The nearest train stations are:

  • Birmingham New Street & Birmingham Snow Hill – 15-minute walk
  • Moor Street, Jewellery Quarter & Five Ways – 20-minute walk
 
Travelling by Air
  • Birmingham International Airport is around 30 minutes by car (depending on traffic).
  • Alternatively, frequent trains run from Birmingham International rail station to the city centre.
