Dr Xia Li
Xia Li is a Lecturer in Accountancy and Governance at Birmingham City University. Xia Li holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance from the University of Birmingham. Previously, during her PhD at the University of Birmingham, she was a teaching assistant in different accounting and finance modules at both postgraduate and undergraduate level (e.g., Corporate Finance, Financial Statement Analysis, etc). She currently teaches the Professional Development in Accounting module.
Her teaching interests are in Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting, Financial Statement Analysis, and Corporate Governance. Her research interest lies at the intersection of Accounting and Finance, specifically, sustainability accounting, market-based accounting, earnings quality, corporate governance and corporate finance.
