Franck Sonata for Violin and Piano
Ysaÿe Violin Sonata “Ballade”
Ysaÿe Caprice d’après l’Étude en forme de valse de C. Saint-Saëns

This concert is centered on the famous Belgian violinist Eugène Ysaÿe and the friendship between musicians. The three famous pieces reflect a miniature history of French music. Franck's sonata is the evening prayer of Romanticism, Ysaÿe's unaccompanied Ballade is the dawn horn of modernism, and Saint-Saëns's waltz is reborn through the creative transformation of Ysaÿe's devilish skills in his adaptation.

Running time approx 50 minutes.
