Thailand
Students from Thailand will find many attractions in the UK’s second-largest city, which is home to 65,000 students. Birmingham is a lively and multicultural city, with award-winning restaurants, bustling bars and nightlife, international artists such as Lady Gaga and Katy Perry performing in arenas, and various sports.
Birmingham has a proud reputation as one of the youngest and most diverse cities in Europe, offering a warm welcome to our students from Thailand. You will experience great food, great entertainment and a great culture in our city. We have many Thai restaurants, and the Birmingham Independent Food Fair offers Thai cuisine as well as other international dishes.
It's a particularly exciting time to become a student at Birmingham City University. We've invested over £500 million in our estate, including a major expansion of our City Centre Campus at Eastside, providing students with an enviable range of facilities. We've invested heavily in innovative technology to give our students the best possible preparation for their chosen careers. Facilities include a mock law court, a virtual radiography suite, broadcast studios, fashion workshops and a mock operating theatre.
Our research work continues to attract international attention, 93% of our research was recognised internationally for originality, significance and rigour, of which 19% was judged world-leading (REF 2021).
