International Postgraduate Scholarships

The scholarship is available for full-time postgraduate taught degree courses admitting students in 2026.

The following courses are excluded:

• Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Acting and Music courses
• Programmes below Master’s level, e.g., PgDip, PgCert, GradDip
• Postgraduate research programmes (e.g., MRes, PhD, EdD, DHealth, DSport)
• MSc Accounting and Finance (Master’s stage top-up)
• PGCE
• Courses delivered by BCU partners
• Part-time courses
• Professional Practice/CPD courses
• Short courses (credit-bearing and non-credit-bearing)
• Distance learning/online courses
• Study abroad or exchange programmes
• Pre-sessional English courses

We also offer international scholarships for undergraduate students if you are applying for an undergraduate course.

This scholarship is available for those joining Birmingham City University 2026 intakes.

There is no need to apply. You will automatically receive the scholarship – applied as a tuition fee discount – if you enrol on an eligible course.

If you apply for, and receive an offer for, an eligible course, you will see details of the scholarship in your offer letter. If you go on to enrol with us, the discount will be applied to your tuition fee invoice after enrolment. Please note that you will still need to pay 50% of the full tuition fee prior to receiving your CAS.

You can only receive one BCU scholarship. If you are eligible for more than one BCU scholarship, we will automatically award you the larger scholarship.
