Accommodation
You can apply for University accommodation as soon as you have accepted the offer of a place from us.
As an international student you are guaranteed Birmingham City University accommodation for the first year of your course as long as you apply by the guaranteed accommodation deadline date 31 August. Our Accommodation Services team can help find the right place for you.
We encourage all new international students go into University halls of residence because it gives you the opportunity to meet other students and get to know the local area.
If you decide that you want to stay in private accommodation we have our own letting agency - 'Birmingham City Student Homes,' which is the best way to find private accommodation.

At enrolment you will automatically become a member of Birmingham City Students’ Union (BCSU).
The Students’ Union is independent from the University, but works closely with it. It’s run by a team of elected students called Executive Officers, and its purpose is to represent you as a student and help you enjoy the best possible student experience while you are in the UK.
Students’ Union services give you the chance to join sports teams, societies, media groups and take part in volunteering activities – the perfect way to meet new friends with similar interests.
The Students’ Union advice centre can help with academic, housing and money matters while the Union’s cafes, bars and entertainment programme promise you a great spot for lunch and some amazing nights out.
