Support off campus

library - off campus support

Whether you're on placement, studying whilst looking after your family, or working from home during the holidays, we're fully able to support you whilst you're off-campus.

As a BCU student or staff member you have access to millions of full-text journal articles, ebooks and other online resources. We also have a 24/7 virtual enquiry service where you can search for answers to frequently asked questions or speak to a librarian at any hour of the day, from wherever you are.

Please see our Bringing The Library to You guide that helps you make the most of studying, whether you are on campus or working at home.

Using another university library

If you would like to use a university library that's closer to home, apply to become a member of the SCONUL Access scheme. There are different types of membership depending on your mode of study, and your Birmingham City University library account must be clear of overdue items and outstanding charges.
