Originally from India, Ishann decided to study his Master's at BCU, hear about his experience studying in Birmingham!

What were your first impressions of Birmingham?

It’s a modern city with lots of business opportunities, there are a lot of people and the city centre is buzzing.

What has been your best experience at BCU so far?

The international welcome week was the best experience ever. Also, getting free tickets to see performances at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire was great.

What has been the biggest culture shock?

Originating from India, I did not expect to meet so many Indians on my course and within the university. It is also really easy to get vegetarian food here.

What advice would you give other international students from your country?

Don’t worry about food, bring a lot of thermals and be ready for the time of your life. University life here at BCU is the one you dream of.
